Background: Examining the rights and wrongs of the construct known as ‘monogamy’. Some of the questions will include:
· Has monogamy made the world a happier and more honest place or not?
· Does polyamory represent the truly (decolonised) freedom to love who you wish?
· Should the state have the right to legislate how consenting adults – or groups thereof – choose to love each other?

Where: Clore Studio, South London Gallery
Background: Joshua Obichere of Skin Deep Education will lead a hands-on workshop inspired by the textured paintings of Christina Kimeze, offering techniques and ideas you can bring back to the classroom.
The evening includes an introduction to the exhibition by curator Lily Tonge. This is a continuous professional development and learning (CPDL) workshop for teachers and educators.

Event: Hew Locke - What Have We Here?, London

Background: Guyanese-British artist Hew Locke as he turns his lens on the British Museum collection in a collaborative exhibition exploring histories of British imperial power. It includes artefacts from the spoils of Asante-Anglo Wars.

Background: Twi Club is designed to bring together beginner and intermediate Twi speakers (both Ghanaian and non-Ghanaians) and provide them with a fun, relaxed and unique environment where they can practice and improve their knowledge of conversational Twi, without the fear of ridicule.

Background: ThrillFest puts the spotlight firmly on women and the essential contributions that all types of women make to the crime-thriller genre.
The panel includes award-winning, bestselling crime-writing women making up the panels on the night include: Nadine Matheson, Lisa Jewell, Louise Hare, Saima Mir and Kia Abdullah, with another guest yet to be announced.

Background: Ga Club is designed to bring together beginner and intermediate Ga speakers (both Ghanaian and non-Ghanaians) and provide them with a fun, relaxed and unique environment where they can practice and improve their knowledge of conversational Ga, without the fear of ridicule.
We will have designated specialist speakers who will listen in on conversations, and guide where necessary, which will assist attendees in building confidence in their speaking ability.
Event: Joshua Donkor - ‘I have more soul than one’ - Bath

Background: Joshua Donkor (b. 1997, UK), who grew up in Bath. He approaches portraiture as a collaborative exercise between him and his sitters. He works with the subjects of his paintings to identify objects and images that convey their personal narrative, including family photos, fabrics and personal belongings.

Event: AKADi Magazine Book Club with Krystle Zara Appiah
Join us as we explore Krystle Zara Appiah’s debut novel ‘Rootless’ and meet the author. Krystle is a British-Ghanaian writer, editor, and screenwriter, born and raised in London. She has a degree in literature and creative writing from the University of Kent. She was one of forty writers selected for the London Library’s Emerging Writers Programme. Rootless is her debut novel.
